Holiday cheer

A Glee flashmob! Who could ask for more?
Well jingle my bells.

I love this frenetic adaptation.
Tea and crumpets?

I love Benja Harney's papercraft. This teaset is ah-mae-zing! He [edited, with many apologies for getting gender pronoun wrong, and for not seeing your comment for so long] also did the Hermes windows in London, so you know he's legendary.
Erephant!

There's a new origami elephant at the American Museum of Natural History. It's part of their Christmas display, and it's cool.
Ho ho ho

Santa played some reindeer games yesterday in Hoyt Playground in Astoria before hightailing it over to Wonderbar. Santa then got annoyed by pretentious posturing and warmed up with milk and cookies before crashing around 2:30, but that's another story.

Turning 26

And celebrating by visiting the Other Portland -- the one in Maine. Staying at a fabulous little B&B, playing games, watching movies, gallery hopping, eating too much.
Classic cinema

Looking for a schlocky B-movie from Halloweens past? Look no further than Classic Cinema, which offers -- I kid you not -- a movie entitled "Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla" (watch it! It features Ramona the chimp!). (Sidebar from IMDB: "In his research and preparation for playing Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood (1994), Martin Landau watched this film three times stunned, saying that it was so bad "it made the Ed Wood films look like Gone with the Wind.")
If you really want to make a night of it, you can also take in Dracula, Spooks Run Wild, and The Cyclops!
